Upcoming Training Program Workshop for Vietnam's Semiconductor Industry
In light of the Government's keen interest in fostering investment cooperation and advancing the semiconductor chip industry in Vietnam, the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association (REV) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) will jointly organize the Workshop titled "Training Program for the Semiconductor IC Industry until 2030 - Challenges and Solutions".

This event will bring together a significant number of domestic and international schools, institutes, training and research centers, corporations, enterprises, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Ministry of Information and Communications.
The primary objective of the workshop is to deliberate and suggest suitable training programs aimed at nurturing a workforce of 50,000 engineers for the semiconductor chip industry by 2030. This initiative aims to address the demand for high-quality human resources essential for the development of this crucial industry in Vietnam.
Topics:
- Development of a specialized "Microchip Design" engineering program within the Electronics and Telecommunications training sector.
- Pilot training program for the "System-on-Chip Oriented IC Design"
- IC design training programs implemented in various countries.
- Insights into the skills and knowledge prerequisites for IC design engineers at the Viettel Group.
Simultaneously, the workshop aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences, discussion of challenges, and provision of practical solutions to construct effective training programs. It also seeks to enhance collaboration between educational institutions, regulatory bodies, and businesses to cultivate high-quality human resources for the semiconductor chip industry in Vietnam.
